Three bodies of the four persons who went missing after their raft capsized in Eggaloya, Damana in Amparai have been recovered.

The police noted that they suspect the body of the fourth individual is stuck amongst the silt in the tank.

A group of students and teachers from a school in Badulla had arrived in the area on a trip and 9 persons had boarded a raft.

However, it had capsized in the middle of the tank. Five persons were rescued.

The divers were able to retrieve the bodies of the principal, a teacher and the student.

The body of the school watcher is yet to be found.
