President to address the World Forests Summit

President Maithripala Sirisena who arrived in Rome yesterday to attend the 24th session of the Committee on Forestry and the 6th World Forest Week organized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization will address the Summit today (Jul 16).
 
The 24th session of COFO and the 6th World Forest Week will begin today at FAO headquarters, in Rome Italy.
 
The contributions that forests can make to achieve Sustainable Development Goals will be explored during the week-long talks.
 
President Sirisena is scheduled to deliver a special speech at the Session.
 
And later, the President will visit Georgia to attend the Open Government Partnership Global Summit 2018.
