Public assistance sought to locate missing George Keyt paintings

The Criminal Investigation Department has requested the support of the public in order to identify two suspects who have stolen two paintings of the famous artist George Keyt.

The two paintings are reportedly worth over Rs. 12 million.

The two paintings named 'Mother and Children' and 'Vasanthi' were reportedly stolen on 12th of July 2013, from an office in Colombo 02.

According to the complaint received, it was stated that the paintings were placed at 130, Glennie Street, Colombo 02 and that prior to the building being demolished, paintings had been stolen.

The CID requests the public if any information is found to contact the Financial Crimes Investigation Division on 011 239 52 48.
