More statements recorded on Vijayakala's controversial remarks

The Organized Crimes Prevention Division of Police says that statements have been recorded from 50 individuals regarding the controversial pro-LTTE remarks made by former State Minister Vijayakala Maheshwaran.
 
A senior spokesperson for the division noted that the former State Minister as well as Minister of Home Affairs, Vajira Abeywardena, Chief Minister of Northern Province, C. V. Wigneswaran, ITAK leader Mavai Senathiraja,  district secretaries and others who were present at the time of the controversial statement was made, had submitted  their accounts of the incident.
 
MP Vijayakala Maheshwaran was interrogated for approximately 3 and a half hours at her residence in Jaffna on Tuesday.
 
In her statement, the former State Minister of Child Affairs stated that on 2nd of July, during an event in Jaffna organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Jaffna, she said the LTTE should be revived.
