Over  Rs. 10 million have been robbed by unidentified men after throwing chilli powder at the employees of a private company who were carrying cash to be deposited in ATM machines in the Bulathsinhala area.

The robbery took place at around 5.30 pm yesterday.
 
The employees had stopped their van at an eatery and were having their meal when the robbers who had arrived at the scene in a jeep carried out the robbery after throwing chilli powder at the staff.
 
However, the security officer of the van was arrested for allegedly abetting the robbery.
