Two youths were admitted to National Hospital, Colombo in a critical condition after their motorcycle was knocked down by a car driven by United People's Freedom Alliance's Western Provincial Councillor Jagath Angage at Mahabellana in Panadura, last night.
 
Police said that the provincial councillor has also sustained injuries and was admitted to Panadura Hospital.
 
The car was plying from Bandaragama to Panadura, and the motorcycle was coming from the opposite direction.
 
The injured youths aged between 19 and 21 are residents of Poruwadanda, Horana.
 
Police said that the motorcycle had broken into two following the accident.
