Protesting female inmates clash with each other

Four female inmates were injured in a clash among group female inmates who are engaging in a rooftop protest at the Welikada Prison.
The injured have been hospitalized.

The protest was launched demanding better facilities for inmates and to expedite their legal actions this morning. 

Our correspondent said that nearly 30 female prisoners who are accused of drug peddling have joined in the protest. 

Meanwhile, Justice Minister, Thalatha Athukorala says that solutions to the problems of female prison inmates who staged a roof-top protest at Welikada prison will only be given according to the law.
