Heavy rains in Central Hills (Photos)

Five sluice gates of Upper Kothmale and Laxapana reservoirs have been opened due to heavy rainfalls experiencing in the western slopes of the Central Hills.
Three sluice gates of the Upper Kothmale reservoir got automatically opened early this morning and people on the downstream are requested to be vigilant.
The Disaster Management Center said as a result of the rising water level, two sluice gates of Laxapana reservoir was opened this morning and the DMC said people in the downstream of the Kelani River to be vigilant.
