Anamaduwa hotel attack : Three arrested

Three persons, including the main suspect alleged to be responsible for the Anamaduwa hotel attack, were arrested early this morning.
A group of supporters’ of a politician in the area carried out the attack on the hotel situated in Anamaduwa, Puttalam,
Police stated that one other suspect is to be arrested in connection with the incident.
Four armed persons had entered the hotel premises and vandalized the property on Saturday night.
Later it was confirmed that the suspects had robbed more than Rs. 150,000 before fleeing the scene.
The owner of the hotel stated that he believed the suspects were supporters of a politician in the area.
Anamaduwa police stated that it had been revealed later on, that the group who carried out the attack included a drug trafficker named Kattakaduwe Nihal.
