Tussle heats up for North-Western Chief Ministerial post

The Joint Opposition members of the North-Western Provincial Council say that they would not allow appointing an unsuitable person as the Chief Minister of the province.

A national newspaper reported recently that former Chief Minister, Jayarathna Herath was picked to contest the position.

However, Joint Opposition supporters, D. B. Herath and Sandhya Kumara Rajapakshe revealed this while expressing their views on this issue.
