Accident kills Southern Expressway construction worker (Photos)

An employee at the Southern Expressway extension project died in an accident at Walsapugala in Suriyawewa this afternoon.
Police said that a victim was riding his motorcycle back to work after having lunch when he was knocked down from behind by a water bowser.
The 33-year-old was to be married next week.
The driver of the bowser had fled the area after the accident and it was found that he didn't have a valid driving license.
