Gotabhaya and three others issued notices

Notices have been issued to former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and three others to appear before the Presidential Commission investigating the alleged corruption at Mihin Lanka and SriLankan Airlines.
In addition to the former Defence Secretary, notice has been issued to the former Monitoring MP of the External Affairs Ministry Sajin Vass Gunawardena, former chairman of SriLankan Airlines Nishantha Wickramasinghe and the former CEO of SriLankan Airlines, Kapila Chandrasena.
Accordingly, former Defence Secretary Rajapaksa who was a director at Mihin Lanka is scheduled to appear before the commission on 29th of August while the former Monitoring MP Gunawardena is to appear a day after tomorrow, while the former chairman and former CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines have been informed to appear before the commission tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama also gave a statement to the investigating officers of the commission yesterday.
