Update : Gamini Senarath and 3 others grated bail by the special high court

The four respondents including former president’s chief of Staff, Gamini Senarath who is accused of culpable abuse of 500 million rupees belonging to Litro Gas Company were granted bail by the special high court today.
This Case is the first of its kind to be taken before the special high court specifically set up to hear such cases.
Later, the three-judge bench comprising of Judges Sampath Abeykoon, Sampath Wijerathna, and Champa Janaki Rajarathna released the respondents on a one hundred thousand rupee cash bail and one million rupees surety bail each.
At the same time, the respondents were banned and were ordered to hand over their passports to the court.
The case will be called again on September 19th.
