Court orders a report on “Sarpaya’s” Facebook account

An order was given today by the Colombo High court to the Prison Superintendent, to ascertain whether his department facilitated updating of former Sabaragamuwa Provincial Councillor, Hasitha Samantha Mohandiram alias ‘Sarpaya’s Facebook account.
The former Sabaragamuwa Provincial Councilor was sentenced to death for the triple murder case in Ratnapura.
High Court judge Champa Janaki Rajarathna ordered the Prison Superintendent to submit the report personally to the High Court.
At the same time, the Judge ordered the prison superintendent to report the locations where the Facebook account has been accessed.
Hasitha Samantha Mohandiram alias “Sarpaya” was found guilty of the murders of the former Sabaragamuwa Provincial Minister, Ranjith Nandasiri, his driver and another person on 9th of September 1999.
