Colombo’s garbage to Aruwakkalu from November

The project to dump garbage collected in Colombo, in Aruwakkalu - Puttalam is to commence in November.

An official of the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Province Development in an inquiry made by our news team said that steps will be taken to have the site operational by completing construction work of a section of the complex.

It was decided to contract China Harbour Construction Company to carry out construction of the garbage dumping centre in Aruwakkalu – Puttalam.

The 105 Million Dollar project will also include a rail track from Colombo to Puttalam which will carry garbage.
