The Kurunegala High Court judge Menaka Wijesundara ordered that former Minister of Trade and Commerce, Johnston Fernando and two others be remanded until the hearing of the case hearing is concluded.
 
Accordingly, the case will be heard continuously, and the verdict will be delivered.
 
The defendents including the former Minister Fernando have been indicted for committing financial fraud at Sathosa, during the period when Minister Fernando was functioning as the subject minister.
 
Among the other accused are former Sathosa Chairman, Nalin Fernando, and one of Fernando’s private secretary, Mohamed Saki.
 
The Magistrate also informed that the case against the three defendents will be taken up for continuous hearing, effective  from today.
