Ampara resident arrested with fake Rs. 5000 notes

Police have arrested a resident of Ampara with 13 fake Rs. 5000 notes at the Bastian Mawatha in Pettah.
The suspect, aged 39 was arrested this morning.
Police said that the suspect had attempted to exchange a fake rupee note with a private bus conductor who had tipped off the police.
Later 12 more fake Rs. 5000 notes were detected in the possession of the suspect.
