SLTB calls off strike

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has decided to stop their strike action following a discussion today with Transport Minister, Nimal Siripala de Silva.

Trade Unions attached to the SLTB organised strike actions in

districts citing several demands including salary increments.

The strike action was called off after the Minister had promised to increase bus fares from October 1.
