Sword attack injures three in Jaffna

Three persons have been injured when a gang that had entered houses and attacked residents with swords in Kalviyakadu, Jaffna.

The Koppai police said the incident was reported to have taken place at 3.30am today.

Accordingly, the group that had entered the first house had attacked a woman while it had attacked a man and his son in another house.

Police said the group had caused damages to properties in both houses. The group had entered yet another house and had damaged property as no one was in at the time.

The injured have been admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment. The group has gone in hiding after the incident. Koppai police have commenced investigations into the incident.
