JO MPs attend funeral of supporter who died at Jana Balaya protest

Several Joint Opposition (JO) MPs had attended the funeral of Wimalasuriya, a JO supporter who had died after taking part at the Jana Balaya protest on September 5.

Wimalasuriya had died following a heart attack.

MPs including Namal Rakapaksa, Kumara Welgama, Mahindananda Aluthgamage and C.B. Ratnayake had visited the home of the deceased in Hatton.

Wimalasuriya, a father of three was a conductor of a private bus.
