NPC passes resolution demanding govt to fulfil mandate to UN

The Northern Provincial Council (NPC) has passed a resolution pressing the government to fulfil its mandate to the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Accordingly, the resolution incorporates five demands pertaining to the implementation of the undertakings of the Government to the UN.

The motion was presented by NPC member M.K. Shiajilingam but was passed with amendments.
