Govt to hand over proposals to solve post-war issues to the UN

President Maithripala Sirisena has said the government would hand over a set of proposals to the United Nations on September 25, to resolve post-war conditions with mutual understanding.

The President made this statement today during the meeting with the heads of media institutions at the President's House.

He said the proposals would focus on the post-war situation and would contain suggestions through which these issues could be overcome.
