Clash between SLTB and private bus operators in Vavuniya

Bus operators of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) of the Vavuniya depot launched a strike this morning.

The strike has been launched after one of the SLTB conductors was assaulted by a group including a private bus conductor yesterday (16) evening.

However, our correspondent reports that the conductor and driver who were alleged to have been involved in the clash have been taken into custody.
