Dengue prevention week commences on Sept 26

The National Dengue Prevention week will be observed from September 26 to October 2, the Health Ministry said.

The programme will be implemented in 175 MOH Divisions (Medical Officer of Health). In addition, special attention will also be given to vulnerable areas.

Accordingly, 6000 personnel from the triforces and the police will also assist the programme.
The Ministry also said there had been a drop of 70% in the dengue patients that have been reported this year when compared to last year.
