Army willing to eliminate Aava group - Jaffna Commander

Commander of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna, Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi said that the army would curb the violence in the North and curb activities of the Aava group if they are instructed to do so.
He said that the army had the capacity to do away with armed groups in the North within two days.
He however said that the army did not have the power to take steps regarding this but added they would undertake the responsibility if instructed.
