Train fares to increase from tomorrow; No change in minimum fare; Season Ticket fare also increases

Train ticket fares and seasonal ticket fares will be revised with effect from tomorrow.

The Railways Department stated that the minimum fees; Rs 10 in the 3rd class, Rs 20 in the 2nd class and Rs 40 in the first class will not be changed.

However, in considering the minimum fee, the 10 km limit has been reduced to 7 in the new revision.

The minimum increase in fares would be 15 percent.

Season tickets of individuals have been increased by 40 percent while that of Government servants has been increased by 15 percent.
