The Scotland tour of the Inspector General of Police, Poojith Jayasundara has been temporarily suspended.

In response to an inquiry made by our news team, Deputy Minister of Law and Order, Nalin Bandara stated that this decision was made following the directives of the Prime Minister.

The Inspector General of Police was scheduled to leave for Scotland to participate in a discussion with Scottish authorities on restructuring the police and strengthening the civil police unit.
