MP, Vasudeva Nanayakkara has submitted a resolution to the Joint Opposition coalition leaders’ meeting that it should hold discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena with regard to forming a new government.

This meeting was led by former president Mahinda Rajapakse at his official residence last night.

MP Nanayakkara told our news team that the Joint Opposition coalition leaders showed positive responses to his resolution.

Despite a common meeting, MP Nanayakkara said that he expects to meet the president personally in the near future.
