The unclear and destroyed parts of the telephone conversations audio clips between DIG Nalaka de Silva and operation director of Anti Corruption Brigade, Namal Kumara will be sent to a foreign laboratory for testing.

A decision in this regard was taken during a meeting between the CID and the Government Analyst.

Both factions came to this conclusion after the Government Analyst informed that the available technology is not sufficient enough to test such damaged material.

A particular laboratory has not yet been identified as yet but the audio clips will be sent abroad on a court order.

The audio recording of an alleged telephone conversation to assassinate the President and former defence secretary was released to the media by operation director of Anti Corruption Brigade, Namal Kumara.

Later, the CID initiated an investigation to the matter.

Meanwhile, the Government Analyst stated in his report to the Court that the audio clips on the telephone conversation tally to that of the voices of the former DIG attached to the Terrorism Investigation Division, Nalaka de Silva and of Anti-Corruption Brigade operation director, Namal Kumara.

At the same time, Namal Kumara is scheduled to report to the CID again this noon to submit a few more audio clips.
