2 more wild elephants fall victim to the train in Ambanpola and Palugaswewa

2 wild elephants have died after colliding with train in Ambanpola and Palugaswewa.

The Railway Control Room stated that as a train had derailed, services along the Batticaloa line have been restricted to Kekirawa.

2 elephants had collided with the train plying from Colombo to Kankasanthurai in Ambanpola where one elephant died and the other was critically injured.

The other elephant died colliding against the Colombo – Batticaloa train in the Palugaswewa area.

10 wild elephants have died during this year in such accidents.
