Another group of Parliamentarians were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers and State Ministers before President Maithripala Sirisena today at the Presidential Secretariat.

Accordingly, two new ministers and 5 new state ministers were appointed.

Bandula Gunawardena was appointed the Minister of International Trade and Investment Promotion while Susil Premajayantha received the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Justice.

S.M. Chandrasena was appointed State Minister of Social Empowerment

Lakshman Wasantha Perera was appointed as State Minister of International Trade and Investment Promotion

Salinda Dissanayake: State Minister of Indigenous Medicine

C B Rathnayake: State Minister of Transport

Anura Priyadarshana Yapa was appointed as State Minister of Finance. 

The number of Cabinet members should be limited to 30 under the 19th Amendment when the existing government is not a national government.

In addition, the number of State and deputy ministers in such a government should be limited to 40.
