Muslims in Sri Lanka mark the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohamed today.

President Maithripala Sirisena issuing a message said that qualities of Prophet Mohamed could be adopted in these times where division and hatred is prevalent among each other.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the Islamic nations of the world have always unconditionally supported Sri Lanka and he takes this opportunity to express his gratitude for that unstinted support.

Meanwhile, Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the present society can learn a lot from the life of the Holy Prophet Mohamed.
