Government ministers and MPs who refrained from voting in favour of the vote on account are being questioned

It has been decided to call for explanation from government parliamentarians who did not attend the House at the time of the passing of the vote on account presented in parliament recently.

Last Friday when the vote was taken,12 government parliamentarians were not present in parliament.

The Prime Minister had informed all parliamentarians representing the government that they should attend on the day the vote on account was presented.

The 1 thousand 7 hundred and 66 billion rupee vote on account  presented in parliament for the budget for the first four months of 2019,  was passed by a majority vote. While 102 voted for it, only six voted against it.

The TNA voted with the government .

the JVP however voted against it.

 at the time of voting UPFA MPs were not present in the chamber of the House.
