The Opposition raised objections in parliament today to the decision to convene the Constitutional Assembly tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to present a resolution with regard to the new Constitution to parliament tomorrow.

However, NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa, Deputy Speaker, Ananda Kumarasiri, Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe and MP Dinesh Gunawardana engaged in an argument with regard to the Constitutional Assembly.

At the same time, Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe made a special statement in parliament today.

At that moment, MPs Bandula Gunawardana and Wimal Weerawansa who interrupted the Premier’s statement demanded a one day debate over the matter.
