The Presidential Task Force on Drug Prevention says that nearly 80,000 Sri Lankans die annually due to the use of Alcohol and Tobacco.

Director, Doctor Samantha Kumara Kithalawarachchi said that the use of drugs among school students has seen a rapid increase.

Therefore, the National Drug Prevention Week at Schools will be in effect from the 21st to the 28th of this month.
