Fuel prices on the rise, Petrol up by Rs. 6/=, Diesel by Rs. 4, IOC increases their fuel prices too
Following yesterdays fuel price revision committee monthly meeting, the Ministry of Finance announced that as of midnight last night , fuel prices were increased, based on the pricing formula.
Accordingly, price of a litre of
Petrol 92 increased by Rs 6, to Rs. 129
Petrol 95 by Rs 5, to Rs. 152
auto diesel is now Rs. 103 following an increase of Rs. 4,
and Super Diesel increased by Rs 8 to. Rs. 126 per litre
In addition, Lanka IOC too has revised its fuel prices. Accordingly while the price of Lanka Auto Diesel has been raised by Rs.4/= per litre, the price of Euro 4 Octane 95 petrol has been raised by Rs. 5/= per litre. Similarly IOC Super Diesel price has been increased by Rs. 8/= per litre.
However, Lanka IOC said that it would not raise the price of Octane 92 petrol.
While with the price increase, the new price of Lanka Auto Diesel will be Rs. 103/ per litre, the price of Super Diesel per litre will be Rs. 126/=.
The price of a litre of Extra Premium of category Octane 95 will be Rs. 155/=. Petrol of category Octane 92 will continue to be sold at Rs. 131/= per litre.
