President Maithripala Sirisena said the task that belongs to a teacher on behalf of a disciplined generation of children, is unrestricted.

Although traditionally, control of the discipline of a child was carried out through the school, as of today human rights have intervened in the role of teaching in an improper manner and have become a challenge towards building a virtuous future generation, the President said.

The Prime Minister made these comments when he participated in the commemorative function of the centennial of the Kokawala Central College in Matara.

On this occasion, the Primary Learning Resources Center building was vested in the students under the patronage of the President as well.
