The Signus Space Ship which carried the first satellite built by two Sri Lankan engineers, Ravana 1 has reached the International Space Station.

One of the contributing research engineers, Dulani Chamika of the Arthur C Clerk Institute told our news team that she was informed that the Space Ship which carried Ravana 1 reached its destination this afternoon.

This satellite was naming ‘Ravana 1’ on a proposal by former Director General of the Arthur C. Clarke Center, Sanath Panawenna.

The objective of naming Ravana 1 is to tell the world of the space technology used by the mythical ruler of Lanka, King Ravana.
