The number of deaths in the explosions that occurred in the island have increased to 141.

Hospital sources said that 45 bodies have been placed at the Colombo National Hospital.

There are 62 bodies of victims at the Negombo Hospital, 27 bodies at the Batticaloa Hospital and 7 bodies at the Ragama Hospital.

Among the bodies at the Colombo National Hospital are 9 bodies of foreigners.

Hospital authorities said that more than 250 injured are being treated at the National Hospital as well.

Meanwhile it is reported that a large crowd has gathered at the National Blood Transfusion Center at Narahenpita to donate blood required for victims of the bomb blasts. It is said that as a result there is severe congestion at the center.
