Several firearms have been discovered from the house at Mahavila Scheme in Dematagoda where several explosions occurred on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Colombo Crime Division is still questioning the 24—year old suspect who was arrested while idling near the particular house in Dematagoda.

Interrogators found footage and photographs of the explosions of Dematagoda and Kochchikade Churches on the mobile phone of this suspect.

Meanwhile, Government Analyst A. Weliangaa told our news team that the investigations with regard to the explosion at Dematagoda house have not been concluded yet.

An inspector and two sergeants attached to the Crime Division were killed while they attempted to enter this house for inspection.

Later bodies of a woman and two little children were found from the explosion site of that house.

Police believe that that woman was the wife of the suicide bomber of Shangri-La hotel.

However police have not confirmed yet whether the woman exploded the bomb herself or somebody else triggered it by a remote control.

Following the explosion, the owner of the ill-fated house, Mohamed Ibrahim alias Ibrahim Hajjiyar was arrested by the STF. He was handed over to the CID later.

Meanwhile, Police have identified that the white BMW parked opposite the relevant house on the day the explosion took place is registered in the name of Mohammed Yusuf Aflal Ahamed, a resident of Kandy.

It is suspected that this individual too had died in the blast.

Some bottles of water bearing the name of the Cinnamon Grand Hotel were found in this vehicle.

According Police suspect that this vehicle would have been used for the attacks.

The Police Special Task Force carried out a sudden inspection of the house of the registered owner of the car Mohammed Yusuf Aflal Ahamed at No. 115, Srimath Kuda Ratwatte Mawatha, yesterday.

Two persons on suspicion of having been involved in the blasts were taken into custody during this instance and they have been identified as brothers of Mohammed Yusuf Aflal Ahamed.
