2 Jaffna University Students arrested with illegal posters and leaflets, remanded

2 Students of the Jaffna University who were arrested during a search of the University have been remanded until the 16th of this month.

This was after they were produced before Jaffna Magistrate Peter Paul.

The 2 were arrested along with illegal posters, leaflets and banners.

Meanwhile, our correspondent said that TNA Parliamentarians Mawei Senadhiraja and M A Sumanthiran had arrived at the Kopai Police and attempted to seek the release of the students.
