The Sri Lanka Navy announced that certain changes have been made in their activities pertaining to coastal and maritime security.

This is to prevent terrorists from fleeing the country via sea routes.

Navy Media Spokesperson Lieutenant Commander Isuru Sooriyabandara stated that random checks will be carried out even in mid seas.

Meanwhile, operations are continuing in search of suspicious individuals and weapons.

A suspect was arrested from Naththandiya with 2 foreign manufactured firearms.

2 suspects were arrested with 3 hand grenades near a Mosque in Welipenna.
