A lot of information at the Ollikulam Camp

Much important information has been revealed from the training camp of the National Thowheeth Jama’ath organization discovered in Ollikulam – Kattankudy – Batticaloa.

One individual has been taken into custody and a Senior Police Officer told the Hiru News Division that statements are being recorded from him at present.

The relevant place was discovered during a joint search operation conducted by the Police and Police Special Task Force and under cover of maintaining a farm in this area, this training camp has been maintained. This was revealed in investigations carried out.

A four storied building has been constructed within this training camp where the land area extends to 15 acres.

Police said that several p.v.c. pipes similar to the one that was discovered in a bomb near the Katunayake Airport in the recent past and were used to make them were also discovered on these premises.

The Training Center is suspected to belong to the Leader of the National Thowheeth Jama’ath organization Zahran Hashim and training had been carried out by his brother Rilwan Hashim.

Zahran Hashim had arrived at this place several times and the hands of his brother Rilwan Hashim had been injured during training carried out here.
