Investigations into an individual who left a parcel in a bus with the objective of scaring the public

The Police has commenced an investigation into incident where a parcel had been left in a private bus parked near Telecom – Fort – Colombo with the objecting of scaring people.

Bus commuters had informed the Police this morning that there was a suspicious parcel left in a private bus this morning.

Accordingly, the Police arrived and carried out investigations and discovered that someone had left a parcel on purpose to scare the public.

Anyhow, an investigation has been launched and CCTV footage from nearby shops have been viewed as well.

Police said the driver and the conductor of the bus were arrested for having left the bus unattended and unprotected.
