The Sri Lankan cricket team leaves for England to participate in the World Cup tournament

The Sri Lankan team participating in this time’s ICC World Cup Cricket Tournament to be held in England and Wales left the island this morning.

That was on Aircraft EK 651 belonging to the Emirates Airlines which left for Dubai at about 10.20am.

The group comprised of 18 players and 9 officials. It was of significance that two officials from the Ministerial Security Division also accompanied them.
