Reports called from police stations on charges against Madush

Reports on the charges against organized crime group leader, Makandure Madush are being gathered from the relevant police stations.

Madush was put under 72-hour detention after police arrested him on his arrival in the island.

At the same time, CID rejected certain media reports that Madush pleaded clemency from the police promising to confess to his crimes and reveal his weapons.

Among such criminal charges against the suspect are manslaughter, aiding and abetting manslaughter, robbery and drug rackets.

Samarasinghe Arachchilage Madush Lakshitha alias Makandure Madush who was deported by Dubai police arrived in the country last Sunday.
