An investigation requested into the Batticaloa University

United National Party Member of Parliament Hesha Vithanage requested in Parliament today to carry out an investigation into how the most part of an investment made in the private university in the private university established at Batticaloa belongs to a son of the Governor of the Eastern Province M. L. A. M. Hisbullah.

When this question was raised in the hope of verbal replies, the Parliamentarian made an inquiry, State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardena, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya and Member of Parliament Chaminda Wijesiri intervened in providing responses.

Subsequent to the expectation of verbal responses regarding 6 Specifications under the Foreign Trade Goods Tax Act this issue is to be debated.
