US+makes+a+pledge+to+the+Opposition+Leader

The USA says that it is prepared to provide necessary assistance for the Sri Lankan government. 

US ambassador in the country Alayinaa Teplitz had said so at a discussion held yesterday with opposition leader Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The Opposition Leader’s office said that during the discussion the US Ambassador had expressed  her government’s regret at the barbaric terrorist attack carried out on Easter Sunday.

Similarly, the Ambassador had also said that by exchanging intelligence information among friendly countries it was possible to consolidate her country’s national security.

US Ambassador Ayina Teplits said further that after the 2001 September Terrorist attack on the US it had been possible to consolidate her country’s national security through that strategy.
