“I could not mention my father’s name, he said if I did so he would cut off my ears and mouth.” The Ampara Police and Hospital sources said that the four year old daughter Mohammed Zahra Raseina of the suicide bomber who attacked the Shangri-La Hotel and died, leader of the Thowheeth Jama’ath Terrorist Gang, Mohammed Zahran had told them this.

She had made the above comment when Security Division officers had inquired from the four year old about her father Mohammed Zahran.

The wife and daughter of Mohammed Zahran, the leader of the Thowheeth Jama’ath Terrorist Gang, were brought to Colombo day before yesterday (08), subsequent to having been hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the bomb blast that took place at the house in Saindhamarudhu, Ampara.

Department sources that these two are being detained at the Criminal Investigation Department and being interrogated.

CID officers said that lots of important information has been revealed already by Zahran’s wife Abdul Cader Fathima Sadiya regarding the Thowheeth Jama’ath organization.

It was Zahran’s brother and sister who had confirmed to the Security Forces that these two who were injured in the bomb blasts at Saindhamarudhu were the wife and daughter of Zahran.

A team of special investigation officers of the Criminal Investigation Department is engaged in questioning Zahran’s wife and daughter continuously.
