What the JVP has to say about the clashes

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna says that the racist clashes that have erupted in certain areas of the island are a way of acting so that the distant invasions can be summoned to the country.

The General Secretary of the JVP Tilvin Silva made these remarks at a media briefing held in Colombo today.

He also expressed his views on banning access to Social Media networks and said that as a result various rumours and stories are being spread around.

The General Secretary of the JVP further said that the reason for these clashes was because the Government was neglecting their responsibilities.
